Hello...
New member here....I searched internet for this little problem and found this forum. Hope someone can help.

My setup:
computer = imac 10.5.6
hub = IOGEAR model guh420 4-usb/3-firewire ports (powered)
IOGEAR - GUH420 - USB 2.0 / FireWire Combo Hub
connected external 400 firewire drives:
#1 = COOLMAX enclosure with 80GB (from PowerBook G4 laptop upgrade)
#2 = ACOMDATA 500GB usb/firewire combo
AcomData | E5 External Hard Drives - USB 2.0 & FireWire 400 - w/PushButton™ Backup

The Problem:
I have transfered final cut pro files between ACOMDATA to COOLMAX but can not transfer same data back between COOLMAX to ACOMDATA thru the IOGEAR hub. i am getting "sorry ... unexpected error occurred (error code 0)" message box. i can transfer between either drive onto the iMac desktop and again transfer to the other drive but this not my plan.

Is the problem with my configuration in the SP/Network window?
How do i get the SP/Network window to change to FireWire Connected?

this is under my System Preferences:
Network indicates = FireWire Not Connected.
also the Location: Automatic
Configure: Using DHCP
the other boxes are empty
under the Advanced button:
TCP/IP info is same as main window
DNS has both boxes empty
WINS has NetBIOS Name: MAC....####
Proxies has Configure: Manually
none of the protocols are set.
Bypass proxy .... Hosts & Domains = *.local, ###.###/##
[x] Use Passive FTP Mode
these are probably default settings as i have not changed anything in SP/Network.
