I'm trying to freshen up my system and get it running better by getting rid of some of the dead weight. I have backed everything up via Time Machine and have reinstalled OS 10.5.6 and would like to only restore the preferences and things like that. I want to install all of the applications by myself.
Will booting into Ubuntu allow me to just grab all of the library files (System and User) that I have copied from Time Capsule onto the desktop and put them in their respective folders?
