If I'm reading this correctly, you mean the restore disc that come with new Macs?

If so, only if they were originally for your model.

You need to be more specific in regards to what Tiger disk you are referring to.

I don't think that there is such as thing as a "generic" eMac OS X Tiger disc!

In fact from what I could find researching, 1.25ghz eMac's shipped with OS 10.3.3...not Tiger (10.4).

If you have a eMac model specific Tiger install disk it's probably from a 1.42ghz eMac (they did ship with Tiger).

So basically get the disk, and try installing Tiger. Maybe it will work. If not, you need to purchase a "Universal" install copy of Tiger.

Yeah i mean the eMac discs that were shipped with the eMac.

So any eMac disc aslong as it is shipped with a specific model it will work??
Meaning the discs arnt individually programmed for each eMac?

The CD/DVD that comes with every Mac is for that Model. When I say Model it's like this. Say it's a Macbook. The DVD that comes with a Macbook will work on that exact model Macbook of the same specs. That is my understanding.

Great . If you decide to upgrade to Tiger OS X.4 or Leopard OS X.5, make sure you purchase the full retail version which is a black coloured DVD, and not the silver grey model specific system restore discs.
