Mail issues

I have a problem with Mac OS Mail. Every time I try and compose an email using Mail, it automatically sends it before I am finished every 40 seconds or so. By the I'm done composing my email, it has sent it 12 times/ without user input. Can anyone tell me what is going on???

2017 27" iMac, 10.5" iPad Pro, iPhone 8, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, Numerous iPods, Monterey
Are you sure the email is actually being sent? If you have chosen to have Mac mail check email every so often, it will go on line automatically. The minimum interval is one minute.

Are you running a script? Do you have any rules setup in Mac Mail? Are you running any other automator programs?
