Do i need to do anything to repair/save my hard drive?

I wasusing Carbon Copy Cloner for a backup. I got an input/output error which had errors i put below. On Carbon Copy Cloner, they say this is likely evidence that my hard drive is in serious trouble. Is that the case? What should i do? I ran the Disc Utility programs on both the external hard drive and the MacBook hard drive but it didn't solve the problem.

It appears your internal hard drive has errors. CCC is trying to read the data to copy it to the external drive but it results in an I/O error.

Did you try booting the machine with your original install media and run Disk Utility to do a verify and repair? You can not repair errors on the hard drive if it's mounted - you must boot from the OS X install media.

In any event, make sure you have a good CCC bootable copy of your hard drive on the external. In case the internal hard drive is defective you can always boot the machine with the copy made by CCC.

Worst case scenario, make a backup of your files to an external HD "manually" (move the files you want to ensure you have a backup of yourself) if CCC won't work for now until we resolve the issue.

Now what?

I ran disc utility on my hard drive, and afterwards I did another backup with CCC. I got the same problem I had before (I'll copy and paste it below). Might it only be a problem with those songs? They play fine on my computer. I'm not sure what to do know, and I'm worried that there ought be something I should do for my computer.
