Opening images from e-mail.

Right now any attachments in my e-mail either open up or save to Iphoto.
I so dislike Iphoto.
I did download and like Pixelmator better.
Is there anyway to change it opening in Iphoto to open in Pixelmator ?

I am pretty new to mac and like it, but so far Windows has much better options for photo programs. Most of Macs programs are more of just an editor.
Unless I have big bucks for Photoshop.

For any image, jpg gig png etc, select a file in the finder and right click, then select get info

One of the sections in the info field will be Open with

Select Pixelmator and hit the button Change all (so, for example all jpg images will open by default in Pixelmator)

Do that for any image types you need Pixelmator for, i.e. PNG, GIF, TIFF etc.
