Can Windows Media Player Play All Media?

is there a way to get windows media to play all media formats?

Why would you want to do that? It can probably play mpeg and wmv but thats about it I think.

because i don't like how quicktime plays media in the browser.

There is no WMP plugin for browsers so you are stuck with quicktime

Where can I get that plugin? Because lots of WMV and ASF stream don't run, saying a plugin is missing...

By the way, the only thing Windows Media Player on Mac plays is WMV and ASF, it is not able to play MPEG or AVI or anything else.

What problems are you having? In general, you use the media player designed for the format you want to play. WMP for .wmv/.wma, RealPlayer for .ra/.rm (etc.) and QuickTime for most everything else. So long as they're working properly, you shouldn't have any problems.

mplayer. its like vlc, but better, better ui, better handling of video format frame rates, etc.

Try both and make the choice. I personally prefer VLC but i guess its personal preference.

Wow, I looked at the VLC link and I didn't realize there were soooo many Operating Systems out there! You learn somethign new everyday. (BEos? o-o Never heard of that!)
