- MacBook Core2Duo c. Nov 2006
I've been experiencing performance issues with my Airport Express and I think it might be due to the number of devices I have connected. Until the problems started occurring I had my MacBook (c. Nov 2006, Core2Duo), my Sony Viao (XP), a second Express serving as a print station, and Nintendo Wii. Everyone once in a blue moon I have an old PC running Ubuntu that jumps on the network. Everything worked seamlessly.
Then I bought an Acer Aspire One netbook and iPod Touch.
The total of seven wireless devices is still under the 10 Apple says the Express can handle, but whenever three or four devices are running at least one of them refuses to connect. It's usually either my MacBook or the Acer. Sometimes it's the other Express.
This also all happened around the same time as the firmware upgrade to 7.4.1
