I have a 52gb family movie project i want to back up to an external hard drive... i'm aware of the 4gb file size limit - not savvy enough to bypass this... burned a disk image via idvd and that was too big, so the movie was cut... what's the best (ie easiest) way to compress the movie to fit so A) it can be burned to dvd again later if nec and B) minimal degradation
thanks in advance

Hi

If you have a dv camera, you could always archive or back up to tape for future use.

If you are desperate to get it on to DVD's (quick maths 52/4 = 13 discs!), then edit it in iMovie into 13 equal sized chunks and burn each chunk seperately.....

Cheers Mitcherooney
