Hi everyone!

The place were I work has finally purchased G5's for everyone and we moved up to OSX (10.3.8). Our IT department who are more PC people than Mac people installed these on a Saturday when the whole creative team was off.

Now, they made the decision to partition our HD. They Partitioned about 10 gigs from all the software and the rest as working space. (it has something to do with MS outlook 98)

The main desktop in located on HD1, which leave no room for work because all the space is on HD2.

We can deal with that until we hit the problem of not being able to burn DVD's, because of the lack of space on HD1. Is there a way A) to move just the desktop to HD2 or does in need to be with the system folder, and 2) can the scratch disk for the DVD burner be moved to HD2?

Thanks

Jeff

i'm pretty sure the scratch disk can be moved to HD2. what program is it you're burning the DVD's with? if it's DVD Studio Pro, then yes, you can change the scratch disk. just go into the program's menu... DVD Studio Pro>Preferences>Destinations and then change the "Path" to whatever folder you want it to be on whatever hard drive you want it to be on.
