Your Mac's Specs
PowerMac G3 B&W 400Mhz, 40Gig HD, 384MB RAM, DVD-CD-RW Drive. OS 9.2.2
I have eMac OSX 10.4 Install DVD's, and I want to know if it is possible to work around the “lock” that is put on theses disks to install the OS on my PowerMac G3 B&W?

G'day and welcome to the forums.

In short .. No. They are machine specific period. If you want to try Tiger on your G3 keep an eye out for a full retail install DVD, a black disc, and not a system restore model specific version.

Some Tiger install discs were released on CD's for machines that did not have a DVD reader fitted.
