I just installed OSX and really love it, but a lot of my old programs (well, just about all of them, including Photoshop, Appleworks, Games, Adobe Reader, the list goes on and on and on) won't function or function with a lot of issues. I tried to reinstall some of them, but they either won't install (says they need classic OS) or install with the same problems. Do I have to go out and buy all new editions of all these programs???

Also, what program allows you to do "Print- save as PDF"?

Not sure on the classic programs but every program in OS X has the option to Save as PDF when you go to Print

Yeah, that's a cool feature. I found some updaters and am currently in the process of resaving all my old appleworks docs in the new format : p
