I just replaced the hard drive in my MacBook Pro (2006 version), which required me to unscrew and pull off the keyboard. Everything went fine until I tried to open it with the latch and it wouldn't open. I had to practically pry it open with both hands. It WAS working fine prior to the hard drive replacement. Is it possible I didn't attach the keyboard properly for the latch to work?

Not only possible, but probable. :( Make certain the keyboard sits flush with the panel around the side and is even with the top case when it's closed. You might have to do a bit of jiggling to get everything lined up properly. Just be careful not to apply too much force moving the keyboard in place.

Regards.
