office for mac install help

i got myself office for mac, installed it and when i tried to update it, it is stuck at running autoupdate install script and its been there for more than 30 mins maybe its not moving along how do I stop it?

Did it actually download an update or is it stuck trying to download? Try quitting Office 2008 to see if that stops the update process. Make sure you have not installed and used a language removal utility such as "Monolingual" as that will prevent Office 2008 from updating.

it did install, i was trying to update it what happened was there was error message i needed to click but did not see because for some reason on mac stuff pops up behind which is weird i restarted the mac and redownloaded the update and noticed it this time around clicked it and it was fine after. thanks
