new harddrive kernel panic

i recently bought a powerbook g4 with a 60gb harddrive, i erased the hdd and innstalled a the os i think its 10.2.4 the innstall went well and the computer restarted itself then after the restart i got a screen the told me to restart it (kernel panic). the ram is fine it worked before. so i am thinking that i did something wrong with the harddrive may i didnt partition it correctly? any help would be greatly appreciated.

nevermind i fixed it , i had to partition the hard drive. thanks anyway.
