Really Weird Problem

Hi there,

If I click on the downloads or Applications icons in the launchbar and then click the little arrow that says Open in Finder it has suddenly started launching the Apple Loops Utility instead of Finder. What's going on?

Can anyone please help?

Obviously so weird no one could answer. Well just in case anyone googles this problem and finds it here looking for an answer I now have it and it worked:

I would advise a full backup before using either Terminal or modifying a System Folder. This command will do both.

Open terminal, paste in the following command:

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

and then log out and in.

Simple!
