I didn't notice this until a couple days ago...but my backlight is unnaturally dim.
I checked out my friend's iBook G4 and it's a lot brighter.
I went to Sys Prefs and turned up brightness to full...still not helping.
I reset the PRAM and PMU...
Anyone got other ideas?
Btw, this happened pretty slowly...it was working fine around two months ago, then I guess it slowly got dimmer and I didn't notice the change 'til now.
Thanks in advance.

Your backlight is reaching the end of its life. Might be a good time to replace it before it completely fails. The folks at iFixit: iPod, iBook, & PowerBook Parts and Accessories have a good supply of parts for your iBook and detailed instructions on how to replace the backlight. You might also think about replacing the inverter at the same time. The inverter provides the low level AC power that's needed to operate the backlight.

Regards.
