30GB Ipod Video issue

iMac 2.6GHz 4GB Ram
My ipod all of a sudden started doing this wierd thing, where it jumps to the end of every track after about 10 seconds of playback. It then responds very slow until you restart it, but still can't play music...

Has this happened to anyone before?
Ideas?

^ Similar thing happened on my friend's iPod 30G. Just 1 week ago. Restored, and its okay.

Lost all my music but that's not as bad as losing my ipod :)
