How to convert JPEG into JPG

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if someone could tell me how to convert my JPEG into JPG??

You can just edit the extension manually and take out the "e." If you have a bunch of files, you're going to want to use something like Name Mangler.

Automator is pretty sweet at doing this too,

Yes, automator has a "Replace Text" function which works fairly well, but I like Name Mangler because it gives you a lot more flexibility... regex matching, remove by character index, etc.

When I enter iphoto the information bar at th left hand side of the screen says the file number and at the end it says JPG. But when I scroll down the information bar where it says "kind" it says that it is a JPEG image?

jpg and jpeg are the same image type.

It's true. JPEG and JPG have no difference, except for, obviously, the name.
