Is there any problems with using an old Mac Mini as a backup disk for a newer computer using Time Machine? Other than the disk is not that big.

Very inconvenient to have to boot up in target mode each time, and I'm not sure it would work correctly. :( As inexpensive as USB external hard drives are, there really is no reason to do it that way. Just attach an adequate sized external HDD to your newer Mac and run Time Machine.

Regards.
