Hey

I've recently got a hand me down Mac Powerbook G4 and its my first Mac so im new to everything.

At the moment i have lots of stuff from the previous owner on here. The OS is super slow and it needs a format or something.

I dont have a copy of the OS but the previous owner left an ISO of Tiger on here. Im not sure how to copy things onto disc or make them bootable.

Could someone please help me.

Thank you

Without the original install media, there's not much you can do to clean off the Powerbook and re-install.

Can you tell us which operating system is on there now? Mactracker shows that it could either be OS 9.1 or OS X 10.1.1. And, according to the info given it can accept Tiger on the machine. It may be possible to install Tiger on the machine by burning the ISO on to a DVD. Perhaps you can borrow a PC and use something like Nero or Ashampoo to burn the ISO.

Also, you may be able to obtain a copy of the original OS from someplace like eBay or maybe even Craig's list.

Regards.
