Time announce isn't working?

Hey Guys.

I have had my iMac for a little more than a year. I have always had on the hour time announcement on. I just recently realized that it hasn't been working. I checked system preferences and its ticked to go off every hour, and the voice is all picked out and everything.


Any idea why it isn't working?

Is your volume low? Try unticking it, and ticking it again!

I personally found that function to become annoying after a while. Not to mention that my headphone jack became stuck at open, so now I have to have something plugged into it in order to hear.

Stupid messed up recording equipment...

Volume is not low..
I have ticked and unticked.

Bump? Still haven't solved this.. lol
