Alright so I just went to use my Macbook, and the screen is very very dim to the point where it looks almost completely black.

When i try to adjust the brightness, if i turn it all the way down, and then then one notch up, the screen stay's lit up, sometimes for just a second, sometimes for up to thirty seconds.

If i try to turn it up two or three or more notches it just goes near black again.

I'm using an external monitor to post this.

Anyone have any idea?

Oh and I replaced the Power Inverter, no luck.

Usually if the power inverter has completely failed, the screen will be dark. The power inverter provides low level AC from DC in order to power up the backlight which needs AC power to operate.

Your backlight could be failing. Another possibility is a video defect but it's unlikely from the description you gave.

Regards.
