I am literally pulling my hair out here!

I have had a free Hotmail account for over 15 yrs and as crap as i know hotmail can be, I do like it and am a creature of habit...
I got a Macbook Pro last yr and bought Office 2008 for MAC, which is a really debatable product in itself, 2003 was so much better!
Anyway, Entourage is the Outlook mail software on the Microsoft Office and it is so rubbish, it blows my mind!

I want to you the Mac MAIL but apparently I cant use Hotmail with it.
I have tried to speak to someone at Microsoft, anyone but its been beyond pointless as they are robotic in responses and frankly a bunch of muppets!

Please can someone tell me if I can use Hotmail on the Mail. Some say you can with the HOtmail plus versian, is this true??
HELP ME !!!
Thanks folks

You need Daniel Parnell's HTTPMail plugin.

Should be a txt file in the download with the directions for setting up hotmail. I use it, it works.

I will warn you, MS has been attempting to shut down the free use of hotmail and wants everyone to pay for it. Every once in awhile, they make another modification to try to prevent access to hotmail except by browser unless you pay them. HTTPMail has been broken 3 or 4 times since I started using it and it can take him a little time to get it working again. I really suggest, you start changing over to something else. I've been doing so for 2 years now and think I'm finally at the point where I can let it go as nothing but junk shows up there any longer.

You shouldn't, as once you pay the $20, I'm pretty sure you then have access to a pop server to get your email - at least that's how they used to be about 6 or 7 years ago when I had a paid hotmail account.

If you check on hotmails site, they should tell you the features of the paid accound.

The Windows Live Hotmail Plus page doesn't mention anything of this kind so it may not be a service anymore. Then again, the page is pretty sparse and MS may not think it is a selling point if they do offer it.

Don't think Windows Live Mail works with it either. He's also been working on that. Here's his blog.

For everyone that moves back and forth between OS's, it really will behoove you to have e-mail that is OS independent.
