Hi,

I'm having a problem with my automatically software updater - it searches for new software everytime I turn on my macbook. I have been to control panel and set the software updater to update once every week - that didn't change anything. Then I set it to update once every month, that didn't work as well. Then finally I turned it completely off - but still, everytime I turn my computer on, it searches for new updates.
Can anyone help me with this problem?

Brgds,
Steffen.

Try going into System Preferences>System>Accounts>Login Items and see if Software Update has been selected there.

It was, but not with a tik in the checkbox, should I just remove it by pressing the "minus" button?
