iPod gen 5.5 and no photos

I have an ipod gen 5.5 that I've been using for a while. I have it set up so that I can connect it to several pcs by manually managing music and videos. The problem that I'm having is that under my ipod in itunes devices I've managed to delete the photos and podcast playlist or what ever it is called. Now I can't add them back. I can only add playlists. I have photos and podcasts on the ipod and they show up under capacity at the bottom of itunes, but I just can't access them through itunes. Is there anyway to add them back so that they can be seen in itunes? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
