Hey guys, I have a question. is there anyway to not use the built in isight camera on my macbook pro and use a external usb webcam instead. any apps that can easily do this or what not, any help would be great. thanks

2011 MBP, i7, 16GB RAM, MBP 2.16Ghz Core Duo, 2GB ram, Dual 867Mhz MDD, 1.75GB ram, ATI 9800 Pro vid
iStopMotion allowed me to make this time lapse video via my external iSight.

The external iSight is a firewire camera, but OS X also supports newer USB cameras meeting some standard I can't recall. It has been mentioned here, likely in the video forums.
