What do you want Limewire to do? Do you want the icon to remain on your Dock? If so, open Limewire and right click on its icon and select "Keep in Dock".

Regards.

If it doesn't, looks like you'll have to write the developer a note and read 'em the riot act. :Shouting: After all, if they're going to write apps for our Mac's, they should know how we expect our programs to behave.

In the meantime, looks like you may have to settle for just minimizing it. ;D

My limewire does not quit not sure why yours does, but you can always hide it, command + h, which is essentially the same thing.

Edit: Never mind, it eventually quits. It just took a while, and I wasn't really paying attention. Sorry about that.

That's a programming choice of the developer. There are Mac applications which do not remain open when the window is closed. "Checkbook" is one, "muCommander" is another that act that way. As soon as the Window is closed, the application closes.

I don't know about Limewire because I do not use it, but it appears dbnoise says his stays opens. Perhaps you should try re-installing Limewire.

Regards.

On PC I close the window and it stays open but minimized to tray then right clicking on the icon will give the options exit or exit after transfers

In the GUI

Options > Advanced > System

make sure you have the Minimize to Tray box checked and not Exit Program
