I am considering switching from PC to a Mac (iMac or Mac Mini), mainly for photo and light home video editing. I use Photoshop Elements 7 now, but want a machine that wouldn't slow to a crawl if I upgraded to Aperture later.

I see on the Apple website that the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics is touted as "breakthrough" and sufficient for 3d graphics, etc. My bias is against an integrated graphics solution for photo applications.

Has anyone had experience with the 9400M? If so, were your iPhoto, PS Elements or Aperture experiences okay or, alternatively, would you recommed a machine with dedicated 256 or 512 video memory.

Thanks, olyduck
PS: Has anyone heard whether Apple resolved the brightness gradient issue that was apparently plaguing earlier iMac 20" screens?
