Speakers for 3rd Generation Ipod

I have a third Gen 10 gig ipod (docking). I've decided I need external speakers. I've purchased 2 but neither has worked. The ipod works great with earphones but not with speakers.

The iluv speaker I got worked great but only for 1 song. It refused to play the playlist.

Any suggestions ?
