I am trying to install windows 7 onto my new 13" macbook. The problem is that I can't get it to create a nfts partition( it says its required.) I was under the impression that if I created a partition of more than 32 GB it would automatically become nfts, but the 38 GB partition that I created is FAT32. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Are you trying to install Windows 7 Via Bootcamp or all by itself deleting OSX altogether?

I plan to partition my drive with Bootcamp and then install windows 7 on the partition. I don't want to delete OSX.

OS X does not have the ability to create NTFS partitions. BootCamp will create a FAT32 partition.

During the install of Windows, at the time you are making the partition selection, you will also select to format it as NTFS.

Make sure you don't select your OS X partition - others have done it.

Windows 7 isn't officially supported by Boot Camp. You must use Windows Vista or Windows XP SP2. OS X does not have native support for the creation of NTFS partitions. If you want to run Windows 7, your best bet would be to do so under a virtualization product like VMWare Fusion, Parallels Desktop or VirtualBox.

Win 7 will install via BootCamp, that's where I installed it. Just select Vista when you go picking which product you're going to install. (I used the 32 bit version.)

Only issue I had was the need to go find working drivers for the video card on mine and that didn't take all that long.
