I am about to wipe and re-install leopard but to save me a load of time i wanted to keep my XP boot camp. Will wiping automatically keep the windows partition or will it wipe everything? If it will, is there a way to keep the partition?

Since the drive is already partitioned and formatted correctly, your Boot Camp partition will remain untouched. However, I believe you might have to run the Boot Camp Assistant again to reinstall the bootloader.

Try WinClone. It's free and will allow you to keep your Boot Camp partition intact and bootable. Link

Regards.
