I Recently ordered a Macbook pro for college. I currently mostly use Pc, and I have a Seagate External that's formatted to NTFS. Is there anyway that I can get the thing to work, read and write between the Macbook and my Pc? Reformatting would be near impossible considering the size and amount of files on the External, and no place big enough to dump them. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I've never used it personally but you may want to look into ntfs-3g. It should let you use your external NTFS formatted HD w/o formatting it.

Installing ntfs-3g and MacFuse can be a royal pita if you're not familiar with the command line. Paragon's NTFS for Mac is a good alternative.

Paragon just released a new version of their NTFS for Mac OS X. The latest version (7) also includes Mac browser so now you can go both ways. I highly recommend it and at $39.95 it's a bargain.

Regards.

Noticed that when I checked out the link today - that looks pretty sweet.
