Saving images sent from Mac to Outlook

Whenever I send pictures to friends (outlook) from my Mac they all complain that they cannot save the images. I didnt believe them so I emailed pics to my office outlook account, and, viola, I could not save them. Whats the deal??? There has got to be a way where non-mac Outlook users can save pictures sent from a Mac. Someone please help me. Thanks!!!

What application are you making the pictures in, what format are they saved as?

Hi. I am down loading pics from camera and saving in iphoto. when sending to outlook users I've simply opened outlook, dragged across the pics I want to send - then clicked on the 'email' button in the bottom right on iphoto....and off they go.
