I have a trusty old powerbook g4 that I am trying to sell since I upgraded to macbook. However, it does not power up on battery (which is fine and tested) but instead the screen remains blank but the hard drives are whirring.
It works fine on AC Adapter plugged, however, the clock is reset every time. Would replacing the PMU fix this?
A little bit of history, the trouble started when my original AC Adapter shorted out. I bought a after-market replacement from Amazon which did not work correctly, and finally I bough an original Apple AC adapter, which works.
