Today after I got home from school, my Macbook(Early 2008, 2.4, Black) was asleep, as usual, and when I went to open it up, to wake it, the fan was rapidly spinning, and the computer would not wake up. Normally, just opening it wakes it, but I tried clicking, tapping some keys. Eventually I had to restart it and then it booted, but it also booted much slower than normal, about 1:30, compared to a usual :30 seconds. Was this just a freak occurrence? Is there something I can run to check it out?

Thanks,
Jesse

Try restarting normally and then let know how long it takes.
If it was just a one time thing, and the booting will go quick again, i don't see a problem :)
