going to order an upgraded white Macbook tomorrow but i have heard that delivery can take weeks, is this correct (UK delivery)

Yes, it can.

However, you will be provided with tracking information after you place your order, so you will then have a better idea of when delivery will occur.

My upgraded MBP took 2 days to get to me down in the South Coast. =] A very pleased man I was.

I've found that shipments are usually much quicker than the estimates. Now, that's here in Canada so I'm not sure what it will be like for you.

Thanks for responses, just ordered upgraded white Macbook with estimated delivery of 9-10th March so it may come quicker?

Shipment

Ordered upgraded white Macbook online and it says prepared for shipment, any ideas on when it would come as i am really impatient.
Estimate says 10th of march but i can't see shipping taking 12 days.

I would say that it would likely be there on or around 3/10/09 like the tracking information says.

Yes, it most certainly can take 12 days to ship... perhaps longer. The answer hasn't changed since you first asked it.

From my experience, ordering from Apple is always quicker than they state. My guess is that the estimate they give you is a conservative one.

With me they said 2-3 weeks (Holland)
Though it came in after 25 days, which nothing faster, but exactly what they estimated.
I was "lucky" to be in the hospital while spending those days The first 15 days I was kinda off the planet, so the last 10 was easy to do

New deliery date after shipping March 2nd, 8days less than previous estimate

blundered here 2nd March day due in from Shanghai (waited in all day today, eventually rang up) severely disappointed
