New guy here. I just got a Macbook Pro on Friday. I really like it so far but I came across an issue. I wanted to type up a letter and could not find the equivalent to "Word". I found text editor which will work for what I need to do. Is there a program I am not seeing? I also downloaded open office and can use that if needed. Please help. Thanks.

Your Mac's Specs
Way... way too many specs to list.
It doesn't come with a word processing program. This is true of windows machines too. You can use open office, since you have it. There are also Word and Pages (part of the iWork Suite)

If all you need is a word processor, you should have a look at Bean.
