First off, realize that if your MBP is still under warranty, (Apple Care) any messing around inside of it that causes damage will certainly void that warranty. With that said try this:

The Kernal panic appears to be memory related. (I'm not certain but it looks like it.) Try removing the modules and reseating them one at a time. Be very careful when removing and reseating. Follow Apple's procedure. Link

Let us know.

Regards.

Try safe mode first, simply press the Shift key as soon as you power up and keep it pressed until you enter safe mode

Edit: If you cannot get in to safe mode, then chscag's advice is the way to go

Well here is some more information.

I tried the Shift key method to get into safe mode and it didn't work.
My dad was on this macbook last night. He was the last one to use it since it started doing this and he told me that he just remembered that it was updating some software and he might have canceled it during the middle. Then when he turned it off, ever since then it never booted it up again. I'm really sad Ive been trying to fix it since this morning. I was really hoping I could get it in safe mode and then to boot because then I could probably download some update and fix it. I haven't tried removing the memory yet.
Here are the specs of this MBP 2.5GHZ Core 2 Duo/2GB/ 512MB VRAM/ 250GB 5400RPM
Does this still sound like a memory issue or a software issue?

I had the same issue as you with my girlfriends MBP. She was installing a software update and turned off the computer halfway during the install. I brought it to the Apple store and they tried everything and finally told me that I'll have to nuke it and re-install a fresh OS. Good luck!

With the additional info you posted above, it may in fact be a software issue. Did you ask your father if he remembers what kind of an update it was? If it was an update to say, QuickTime, it wouldn't matter. However, if it was a security update to OS X then it may have done damage.

At this point I don't know what to advise you. I'm assuming that you don't have a backup?

The memory dump (kernal panic info) you posted doesn't really tell us much of anything which is why I suggested it may be a memory problem. You might wind up having to reinstall OS X as the other reply stated.

Regards.

Im glad to announce I fixed this problem. I put the start up disc inside the computer and held option so I could boot up with it. Once I got there I reinstalled something but I didnt erase everything off my hard drive. I believe I installed another version but Im not exactly sure what I did but now its working perfectly. I also installed all of the updates to date hoping nothing else will go wrong. Im happy that I was able to recover my project. That is what mattered the most. Now when I click on the Macintosh HD I see that it has created a folder that says Previous Systems. Any ideas on what to do with that folder? Probably not a good idea to delete it right?

You probably did an archive and install of OS X and your applications. That's fine. Keep the "Previous System" folder for awhile. When you're sure you have everything that you had running before and all your data is OK, you can delete that folder.

Glad you fixed it. Thanks for posting back and letting us know.

Regards.

You may want to invest in a firewire backup device of some type and then routinely backup your precious files and programs.

Good advice. Purchase an external HD and make use of Time Machine. It will be worth it. Take it from someone who has deleted all of their school work...twice (thankfully I got it all back both times).
