Phone Sync Issue

I have an HTC Tilt (aka Kaiser, aka Tytn II). Back in the PC days, I could just plug in to my Windows laptop and it would show up as a device, then I could move files back and forth. I cannot get my MacBook to recognize my Tilt so I can move pictures, music, etc. I also run Vista 64 bit under VM Fusion and it does not show up there either. Any ideas?
