Will a sony dcr-sr220 work with final cut 4?

Thinking about buying a Sony DCR-SR220, question is will I be able to use Final Cut 4 with this camera? I have a Power Mac G4 933. Heard there are problems getting footage into FC from the hard drive type cameras. Is this going to be a problem? Do I need a miniDV format camera like the Sony DCR-H96 or DCR-H7 ? Also wondering if I need Final Cut 5 and a faster machine for HD cameras? Thanks.
