Where Is My GarageBand 5.0.1 Update?

Hey guys,

I recently read about the software update for GarageBand version 5.0.1 on Apple's website. Yet, I cannot seem to bring it up in Software Update, which is also why my version of GarageBand is still stuck at 5.0.

I tried to download the installer from the Apple website, and it installed without a problem. Yet, the 71MB installation wouldn't open whenever I try to click on it. It'd just say that the application has quit unexpectedly, and it just wouldn't open itself. Also, the icon is not that of GarageBand, even though it says that it is GarageBand. The icon looks like a few pieces of paper with the letter A for Application on it, if you know what I am talking about.

I am very troubled by this, since I cannot seem to get an update anywhere. What am I supposed to do?

It requires Mac OS X version 10.5.6 or later.

You may have to uninstall what you have already added, download it again, then reinstall it.

That's where I downloaded it from, and yes I am running 10.5.6.

But I shall try installing it again.

This is the icon I was talking about. It isn't the usual electric guitar icon, and I can't seem to open this one at all.
