who has the most powerful Mac on this forum?

just wondering, if you think you have a very powerful mac why dont you tell us its specs?

i know mines not the best at 2.66ghz with 2gb of ram.

does anyone have a mac pro with

32gb ram, 8core 3.2ghz, nvidia quadro fx 5600 with 1.5gb memory x4 (yes, the mac pro can support four of those), 4 x 1tb hard drives

??????? can you imagine the speed of that.

1 x NVIDIA QuadroFX 5600 1.5GB
1 x 320GB 7200rpm HDD
1 x 250GB 7200rpm HDD

Used with a 23" Apple Cinema Display. Still blows me away after almost a year.

Probably not the most powerful but it is pretty **** fast.

One day when I have more money than sense, I'm going to buy a really fast Mac Pro and then just have it sit there looking pretty, only using it for music and web browsing. Maybe I'll keep it in my office and have the summer interns squirm as they see me utilizing only a small fraction of the power at my fingertips. ;P

I have a 733 MHz G4 with 384 MB of RAM so I think I win.

what do you guys do that you need sooooo much space on hard drives and externals?

In most cases I would bet Video Editing. Videos in real time take a LOT of space. I work on files 25GB all the time here and I have very little room compared to what I really need.

No, it can't. It only has room for one 16x card.

I have over 3TB of space between internal and external drives and I'm ordering two more 1TB drives, bringing me to over 5TB. I have a huge media collection, most of which is backed up on DVD and I'd like to have it on the computer so that I have access to all of it at my fingertips.

I also have a 2008 Mac Pro.
8x2.8gig
6gigs of ram (soon to be 10)
a total of 2tb of internal storage
a total of 2tb of external storage
Nvidia 8800gt
2xGateway 22" HD monitors

How much is a 1 TB?
