how not to show hidden finder window on desktop click

Hi all,
What can I do so that when I click on the desktop, the hidden finder window won't show. I want to be able to click on icons on the desktop and I don't want that hidden finder window to pop-up.

13" MBA. 15" MBP. iPhone 4. 3G Pad 2.
Minimise the Finder window to the Dock instead of hiding it.
Command m rather than command h :)
