can I run macmini and use Imac g3 just as a screen

Hi all
I got back my old iMac g3 special edition.( Daughter got a new mac).
Is it possible , if I have a macmin to use just the screen of the iMac, as a display for the macmini.

As far as I know, you can't use the iMac as an external display. But you can probably find a good CRT monitor for cheap on Craigslist or something, since everyone is moving up to LCD.
