Force an application to open with X11?

Hi I have an application (Oracle Jdeveloper) that is written in Java and should run on any platform. My problem is there is a known grapical bug in this app that is only on Mac os X Leopard. Is there maybe a way I can force the application to open in X11 to try and see if the problem goes away?

The application launces with a .sh script.

Any help please!
