DVD drive dead, need ideas on what to get

To no surprise, my DVD drive went out lol. Not shocked, since they don't tend to last long. (Well for me anyways since I always burn cd's lol) So I am looking into getting an external drive. I don't know what one to get really, there's so many. All I want is one that I can boot off of on my Macbook Pro to install OS X again when needed, one that will also work with Windows, and firewire would be nice.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Take a look here. It's not going to be easy to find an external DVD burner that supports firewire though.
