Leopard Discs on eBay

Hello, I'm going to buy Leopard for my eMac and have found what looks like a listing for some OEM Leopard discs that have "For Mac Computers" written on them.

Does that mean they will work for all compatible machines? I only ask because the price is quite low compared to the retail version and usually this kind of reduction is applied when the discs are for a specific machine only. I want to make sure I can use them before I buy them.

I took a closer look and there is a part number given for the discs that seems to correspond to a MacBook Pro. It's odd though because the listing says the discs will work on G4 and G5 machines. It is all a bit of a mess. It's probably safer I leave them alone.

They will not work, so yeah, leave them alone. Those are machine specific and won't install on your eMac. You need to find a black retail copy, not a gray system specific disk.

As a rule of thumb if a seller states on eBay - will work on any G4 or G5, check, check and check again. As advised no doubt these are system install discs which will work on that particuar model MacBook exclusively.
