Deleting a Computer to Computer Network

I created a computer to computer network and now I don't know how to shut it down. I keep seeing it in my Airport menulet, and I unchecked the "allow this computer to form networks" option in System Preferences. The thing is that I keep seeing it in NetStumbler and the interference is rebooting my router (it's transmitting in the same channel)
