how to create a mailing list?

I was wondering how I can create a email list of clients that I can send mass emails to. But first a few things to consider

- I want to manage this list separate from my adress book so that all this work related contacts don't get synced back to my iphone by mobile me.

- I would like to use my @me.com email to manage those emails or an iPhone friendly free email service.

Don't think you're gonna do it if you're ruling out having your contacts be used.
